We've all heard the phrase, "live in the moment" at some point in our lives. When you heard it, what did it mean to you? Maybe it was after a traumatic experience or a moment of clarity that made you realise how much you may have been taking for granted. But what does it really mean to live in the moment? Why is it so essential for our wellbeing?
EASE ANXIETY WITH MEDITATION

As women, it’s easy to get lost in the hustle and bustle of everyday life. Between work, family, and balancing all of our responsibilities, it’s easy to get overwhelmed and anxious. That's because we are spinning through life, and not taking time to slow down and live it. Meditation is a powerful tool that can help bring balance, ease anxiety, and bring a sense of calm into our lives. 

 
In the last 24 hours, I've seen and heard this word more times than I have in years. 




For every woman, life can often be a juggling act. Between our relationships, careers, and family lives, it's not surprising that we often feel overwhelmed or burnt out. Women are often expected to be strong, resilient, and independent. 

“I see you - Even though you feel like no-one can”.
These are the opening words of my book. I chose these words with intention. Because sometimes we can feel like no one sees us.
 
There is no doubt that most people are feeling stressed as they have never before, especially given the changes in our individual worlds over the last couple of years. 




What do these words mean to you?
- the clutter in the garage that once housed your car?
- the ‘junk room’ that is home to all of the things you can find a space for?
- decluttering your home so your mind can be clear and focused?
Do you live apologetically?
It’s probably not something you’ve spent much time thinking about, but it can have a major impact on how your life evolves.

 
A woman on her own has strong inner power. She can change the world. She can make it a better place. She can lock arms with other women and really compound this inner power for the greater good of everyone!  Because women always support women yes?.....or maybe not so much.

Have you ever had a moment where you have suddenly questioned who you are? Why are you here? What your legacy will be?
Many people see cancer survivors as - "you beat it, you're all good now". Yes, we did...however, for many of us we are also still battling. For many, the daily battles of our own minds are enough to sometimes bring us to our knees.
 
Have you ever had a defining moment in your life? One of those moments when you question everything. One of those moments when all the trivial stuff - the mean girls, the stressing over the little things, the mother guilt, the spinning through life on autopilot day after day - just don’t really matter anymore?

Here are some ideas if you find your balance is a little out of control too quickly check-in and adjust it.

Do you often find yourself having pity parties? Do you have to have the 'gratitude' talk with your children more often than not? Do you want to bring more gratitude into your own life?

Have you ever attempted something and 'failed'? Maybe an exam at school, maybe a business, maybe a parenting style. Whilst the word 'fail' makes many of us uneasy to use, many people use it daily.

Did you buy your lottery ticket this week? Did you blow on a dandelion and make your wishes? Did you 'put it out to the universe'? .....and still nothing? It may be in how you are putting it out there, and what the universe is hearing...and seeing.....

As the festive season is now upon us, I have been noticing a swing in the emotions of many around me. Clearly, this year has been the year of experiencing many more emotions, fear, panic, stress, etc, however, the festive season always brings on a whole range of emotions on its own too.


 

We often hear our friends - or even catch ourselves - chasing something for happiness. "When I get that promotion at work I'll finally be happy, I've just got to get a new car then I'll be happy, when I reach the top of my company I'll finally be happy"......... Reaching these milestones will obviously make us happy, however for how long?
