Women in Business - how to shift from frazzled to FABULOUS!
As women in business, we find ourselves with a lot on our plates – balancing work, family, and personal growth can be quite the juggling act. It’s not always easy to navigate these challenges, but some women seem to have it all figured out, making it look effortless. These fabulous women wake up each day full of energy, tackle their tasks with efficiency, and even manage to carve out time for themselves. Ever wondered how they do it?

I've been in your shoes for over 15 years now, tackling the ups and downs that come with being an entrepreneur. Trust me, I get it – the feeling of being pulled in a million different directions, trying to manage teams, meet deadlines, and still have a life outside of work.

Life threw some real curveballs my way too, like facing a challenging battle with cancer resulting in a botched operation and paralysed vocal cords (that found me running my business from ICU). And let's not forget the joys and anxieties of starting, and closing businesses, while raising a family!

If there is one thing you and I know - the journey of a woman in business isn't always smooth sailing. I've had my fair share of challenges in various businesses I've had, from dealing with imitators stealing my ideas and suppliers, to others poaching my customers, and even relational aggression from jealous colleagues.

Despite these hurdles, I refused to let them define me or slow me down. In fact, these experiences only fueled my determination to keep pushing forward, rising above the negativity, pivoting when I needed to, and thriving like never before.

In fact 3 of my major accomplishments - becoming a bestselling author, speaking on international stages, and becoming an internationally certified results coach - all happened AFTER the age of 50!

Through it all, I've learned some seriously powerful strategies to break free from a frazzled state and elevate to a fabulous one instead.

Here are 5 tips you can embrace TODAY to get you started - or continue on - as a fabulous woman in business, rather than a frazzled one!

TIP #1:  Know Your Priorities

The first step in living fabulously as a woman in business is to know your priorities.

You have to be clear about what’s important to you, and what you’re willing to let go.

Make a list of your top three priorities, and focus on them. If your business is important to you, make sure you’re putting enough time and energy into it. But, if spending time with your family is equally important, then make sure you’re balancing your work and family time.

TIP #2: Create Boundaries

ADAFqilA_PGEnother important step in living fabulously as a woman in business is to create boundaries.

Set  - and enforce - boundaries with your work, family, and personal time. If you’re constantly taking work calls and answering emails during your family time, it’s time to set boundaries and prioritise your family time.

If you are constantly saying 'Yes' to doing anything and everything for others, and it's taking you away from your designated 'business hours', it's time to understand that sometimes it is better for you, your family, and your business,  to say 'No', and help them make other arrangements instead.

TIP #3: Practice Self-Care

DAFqijqb2coSelf-care is crucial for women in business.

It’s not a luxury.

It’s not selfish.

We often get so caught up in our work and responsibilities that we forget to take care of ourselves.

Set aside some time every day for yourself, whether it’s through exercise, meditation, or simply taking a long bath. Self-care will not only help you feel more relaxed and centered, but it will also make you more productive in your work and personal life.

Note: One of the MOST IMPORTANT self-care activities you can undertake is seeing what I call your ‘Wellness Cheer Squad’. I have more detail in my book for you, however basically see your health practitioners such as naturopath, osteopath, optometrist, GP etc….Keep on top of these appointments, and view them as critical self-care time.

TIP #4: Surround Yourself with Positive Influences

DAFqip_X_bQ

You’ve probably heard the sayings:

- ‘Your tribe affects your vibe’...and

- ‘You are the sum of the 5 people you spend the most time with. Choose wisely’.

The people around us have a huge impact on our lives - and our businesses. Surround yourself with positive influences, people who inspire you, and a workspace that’s motivating and comfortable. Avoid negative people who bring you down and make you feel stressed. Surrounding yourself with positivity will help you live a more balanced and fulfilled life.

In your business world, it’s important to surround yourself with a network of like-minded people, seek mentorship from seasoned entrepreneurs, and consider reaching out to a results coach. Working with a results coach can provide invaluable guidance, and motivation, unlock shadow values that could be holding you back, and give you incredible insight into the resilience and resources you already have within you, but just aren’t utilising! You will gain support and accountability to help navigate challenges and achieve your business goals with greater clarity and success. If you aren’t sure if results coaching is for you - let’s find out! TIP #5: Embrace Imperfection

Finally, it’s important to remember that we’re all imperfect, and that’s okay. Instead of striving for perfection, strive for progress.

It’s very important to accept that there will be days when things don’t go as planned, and that’s just a part of life - and being a woman in business.

Embrace your imperfections, and learn from your mistakes and/or missteps. They are the elements of life that make us stronger - and wiser.

Let’s wrap up:

Living ‘fabulously’ as women in business requires self-awareness, boundaries, self-care, and positivity. It’s not about trying to be perfect, it’s about living a fulfilling life despite the challenges of juggling work and personal responsibilities. It’s about remembering that YOU are the most important asset in your business.

It’s time to live - and work - fabulously – are you ready to make that shift?
